Your best friend becomes you worst enemy
Everybody needs a friend. As they say, we should thank God that we can choose our friends not like our relatives and cousins that are chosen by fate. I think that a friend is your second self. What if one day your best friend becomes your worst enemy without knowing the reason why he or she is mad at you? How can you fix th tension between you and him or her? How can you solve the problem? Can you still be friends?
When I was in my sixth grade in elementary, I have a best friend since the first grade. His name was Louie. He was always there for me. He makes me happy when I'm sad; makes me accompanied at the times when I'm lonely. He is the youngest in their family and only their mother took care of hem.
In our sixth grade, we had a new classmate that came from Manila. Her name was Ivy. Ivy's father was a n assistant-to-a-captain in a ship. She came here in Cebu because of her sick Lola. She enrolled in the public school because she was late to enroll in any private school's enrollment. Her mother won't let her stop for a year. She became a part in Louie's and my life. She became the third member in our group. I am thinking that Ivy enjoys our friendship bonding. Louie is shy whenever Ivy comes near. I didn't pay much attention, considering that Ivy was a newcomer.
One afternoon, Louie and I had a “man-to-man
talk”. He confessed his feelings to me for Ivy. He said that he loved Ivy since the day they met. I said that i will do anything for him and Ivy. I also said that he and Ivy are a perfect match. They both have beautiful faces. I also promised to keep that talk as a secret.
One day during our free time, the girls were playing a game. It was “Truth or Consequence”. Ivy joined them. Louie was watching her at the corner. I didn't have the time to watch because I was called to go immediately to the Principals Office to answer a phone call from our teacher. As the class president, she gave me what lessons to be taught and what are the assignments to be done. When I was entering the door of our room, Louie was looking at me furiously. I thought that he was joking because he always joke like that. During our discussion, Louie was not listening. I didn't pay attention because i have to finish what the teacher told me to do.
After the class, we always have a simple bonding. Louie didn't come this time. I thought why. I asked one of our classmates. He told me that Louie went home very early. He said that Louie was mad at me. I asked him why. But he said he didn't know.
On the next day, I came to school early. I saw Louie in his seat. I was going to him when he suddenly turned hi back and warned me to step back. I asked him why is he acting like that, if what's the problem. Ivy came into our room between our conversation. We were not able to continue our conversation. Ivy went near him and he received her as a friend.
Time passed by until Louie was saying bad things about me. The tension between us grew bigger. I decided to consult our Guidance Counselor. The Guidance Counselor called Louie, me and ivy as our best friend. Louie told the story that when the girls had the game truth or consequence, Ivy was pointed to choose. She chose truth. A girl asked her who her crush is. She replied that I was her crush. I said that it was only crushes and asked her who her love is. Ivy answered that she loved Louie from the very start. When Ivy knew that Louie has feelings for him she was very happy.
That was an unforgettable experience for me because that was a very cute love story for them. I was glad for them,
