High School Life
Being a first year student in a well-organized and disciplined high school is a great honor for me. It is also not an easy job. Doing many assignments, having difficult tests, solving unexplainable tests and seat works, having quizzes to be analyzed everyday and hard-to-do projects is just a part of this job, of being a first year high school student.
Unlike the elementary level, the high school level is a higher, more difficult level and more different level of life. In the secondary level more lessons are learned and to be learned. In high school, you will be molded into a very disciplined and well-mandated Filipino citizen. You will be more informed and open-minded to things that surrounds you.
In my first year of stay, I have to adjust in the environment. Specifically my classmates, schoolmates and teachers. Being friendly to the personnels in school is hard but enjoyable thing to do. We should cope with these persons and I think that I have adjusted to my background. The persons that are difficult to cope up with are my classmates that have good financial backgrounds. They sometimes criticize persons who can't buy this and that. Even if they sometimes do this to me, I just don't pay much attention to them. I always remember that patience is a virtue. I have known many in school. I knew some on each year level. I have known mostly came from the third years.
My mentors, who taught me and my classmates moral and academic lessons, are very good or shall I say excellent. I am very happy because they differ from one another. They differ in characteristics, attitudes, personalities and most of all the way they teach their students. Each teacher pleases me in the way they discuss their lessons. They progress the skill of each and everyone. Some practices us in speaking English fluently. They teach us also in solving problems and many more.
Now that I have adjusted to my background, I think that I can continue to pursue my goal. But first, I must remember the virtues and lessons that I learned from them. One of these lessons is “ Being well-informed is an essential thing to the future.” I believe this because teachers are made to aid the ignorance of many. Not only teachers aid these but also us. We should always teach our younger brothers and sisters these virtues of life. I also learned this also “ Whoso neglects learning in his youth, loses the part and is dead for the future.” I have seen that teachers did not neglect their learnings so they're having a good future and they also shares their learnings. We should not forget our lessons and waste our virtues that we have learned during this first year level. Also we shouldn't waste time and opportunities to learn more and to add information and open our mind.
Now, talking about other matters. Let's talk about love and relationships. The most common of this topics is crushes. Actually, there's nothing bad on having crushes if you just know how to control or when to think of that person. It means that you just admire that person physically or socially, her beauty in the inside or in the outside. But it's dangerous because it may lead to infatuation. Now let's talk about love. Love, love love, what's love? Love is when you love that person for a reason and that reason is unknown. It knocks on our doors when we least expects it. I have known that some of my classmates are having relationships with the higher years.
Being a first year student, is to take the very first step or the very first move to a thousand and thousands miles in the journey of life. When we have sought that the very first step is hard, we should expect that the next steps would be harder but we should go through the obstacles. Even the beginning is hard, someday it will make a good ending; better is the ending than the beginning thereof. But we should not forget “The One” above, eve if we're B.U.S.Y.( Being Under Satan's Yoke). Remember that hard work and prayer makes a person successful and productive citizen.
